Would you take your husband’s last name?
(Here’s my take.)
names to me are linked to identity. i think it may have to do with having an uncommon name and thusly i refuse to drop any semblance of mine purely for the sake of marriage. i choose to hyphenate but also ask that he does the same. i think the same question needs to be posed to men…
